Our StoryFounded in 1949 by Robert J. Schmidt, Schmidt Siding & Window Inc. has grown from one person with a pickup truck working out of his garage to the largest and most respected home improvement company in southern Minnesota. Our founder’s vision of providing superior products and exceptional service has created a multitude of repeat customers who are proud to say they made the right choice with Schmidt.
Schmidt is currently owned and led by President Pete Matejcek. Our company is based out of Mankato, MN and we have over 60 employees. We have received both regional and national recognition for our work. We were named to Remodeling Magazine's Big 50 list for quality work, and have been recognized for 21 consecutive years by Qualified Remodeler magazine as a top home improvement business.
