Having been in the construction trade my whole career both as a carpenter in residential and then commercial construction and in the latter years of my career a Superintendent of all trades people, I never wanted to hire anyone for my home care or home improvement, then once I retired I had no desire to tackle a larger home improvement project of new siding, windows and doors and gutters. I was worried about a contractor producing the quality and attention to detail in which I had come to expect. Well let me tell you Schmidt's Siding and Windows of Mankato Mn. Exceeded all my expectations. From the sales experience to the project management and final installation they delivered. They listened to any concerns I may have had and always cheerfully listened and acted. What a stress relieve for myself knowing that things were always being handled and I felt no need to micro manage! They are a credit to the trades as many contractors fall short. Thank you to all involved in our project we really appreciate you!!

I can't say enough good things about Jay's team that worked on the siding for our home. From start to finish , everyone involved was courteous, incredibly hardworking and proffessional. They kept us informed every step of the way, ensuring we understood the process and were satisfied with the progress. The quality of their work is top notch and their attention to detail is evident.

Schmidt's was an ok company to work with. There were quite a few hiccups that occurred from start to finish, but things eventually got resolved. Schmidts did give us the lowest quote from all three companies, and the quote was pretty close to what we paid when finished. The team that installed our siding was very professional and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Paul, the sales guy, seemed to not want to help once our invoice was paid. We noticed an issue a few days after installation was completed, and when I brought it to Paul's attention, he was not very nice or willing to help resolve the issue. When a customer pays almost $25,000 in cash for a service, there should be only support from the company. Overall, we are happy with our new siding.

Holly C came to our house after a hail storm to assist in gutter guards replacement. Then pointed out down spouts damage which was great as our insurance rep noted it but was so busy he missed writing it down. He corrected it immediately and lastly Holly helped in designing an awning for replacement. Looking forward to getting our house put back together.Would also like to give a shout out to Roger who we worked with in the past. Both are fantastic people to work with. Informative and a pleasure. The Schmidt siding crew are a very professional and experienced working crew. They give much attention to every small detail. We were very satisfied with the siding job they did for us and would recommend them to anyone considering siding their house.
