1. Can you match the color of my existing fascia?
Most companies provide you with few options and tell you they can “come close” to your existing fascia color. At Schmidt Siding & Window Co. we warehouse over 40 colors in 3 distinctive finishes. We also have access to 40 additional colors available by special order.
2. Do you offer large capacity rain gutter systems?
The majority of companies can only offer larger downspouts. At Schmidt Siding & Window Co. we provide you with 4 options:
A. Traditional residential seamless K-style aluminum rain gutter.
B. Designer F-style seamless steel rain gutter, which is larger and 1-inch deeper for more capacity.
C. Standard 2” x 3” downspouts or larger 3” x 4” downspouts.
D. A combination of the F-style rain gutter with 3” x 4” downspouts allows for 40 percent more drainage.
3. How do you connect your downspouts to the rain gutters?
Many rain gutter companies cut and bend down the gutter to affix the downspouts. At Schmidt Siding & Window Co. we punch a precise hole to accommodate a flanged drop tube to connect every downspout to your rain gutter system. This solidifies the connection between gutter and downspout and allows for a problem-free flow of water.
4. How long are the downspout extensions?
Most gutter companies jeopardize your home’s foundation with short 1 to 3 foot long extensions or do not install any at all. Schmidt Siding & Window Co.’s standard extension is 5 feet long and also tips up to maximize your ground water control and makes lawn mowing easier.
