What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work? Any hobbies or interests?
My interests are home improvement and anything outdoors — hunting, fishing. I enjoy riding motorcycles and spending time with family.
What has been the highlight of your career or most memorable moment so far?
The highlight of my career was being top salesman of the year. The most memorable was going to follow up on a recently completed siding job and I was almost killed by a truck who ran into the house while I was at the front door!!! Scary.
What's the funniest or strangest thing that's ever happened to you on the job?
The strangest thing was when we were installing a small window, only to find out the original window we were replacing was actually 3x larger but had been sided and sheet-rocked over to make it look much smaller.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I played saxophone in high school and was also a mediator for the high school students who needed positive resolutions with student conflicts.
What skill or accomplishment are you most proud of and why?
I'm proud of the fact I have been in the home improvement industry since I was 13 years old. I shingled houses with my dad during summer and after school, and continued remodeling and new construction after high school. I was also a Certified Installer & Service Technician for Heatilator Fireplaces in 1997.
We've been transforming and protecting homes and businesses in southern Minnesota since 1949.
